What is needed for the lab equipment scavenger hunt?

The following equipment is included in the scavenger hunt. If you don't have any of these though you can still complete the scavenger hunt with a few less items.

- conical flask / Erlenmyer flask (without graduation markings)

What does the lab equipment activity consist of?

1. The activity contains a dichotomous key students use to name the equipment set out at 10 different stations.

2. Students draw diagrams of what each piece of equipment looks like

3. Students use the poster stations to determine which image represents the equipment scientifically and they copy this into their worksheet as the 'scientific diagram'

4. Students use the poster stations to record the general use of each piece of equipment.

5. Students complete the questions and participate in a class discussion about the answers.
